2015-10-07target-*: Drop cpu_gen_code defineRichard Henderson

2015-09-25moxie: Remove ELF_MACHINE from cpu.hPeter Crosthwaite
The bootloader can just pass EM_MOXIE directly, as that is architecture specific code. This removes another architecture specific definition from the global namespace. 2015-09-25elf: Update EM_MOXIE definitionPeter Crosthwaite
EM_MOXIE now has a proper assigned elf code. Use it. Register the old interim value as EM_MOXIE_OLD and accept either in elf loading. 2015-09-11tlb: Add "ifetch" argument to cpu_mmu_index()Benjamin Herrenschmidt
This is set to true when the index is for an instruction fetch translation. The core get_page_addr_code() sets it, as do the SOFTMMU_CODE_ACCESS acessors. All targets ignore it for now, and all other callers pass "false". This will allow targets who wish to split the mmu index between instruction and data accesses to do so. A subsequent patch will do just that for PowerPC. 2015-07-09cpu-exec: Purge all uses of ENV_GET_CPU()Peter Crosthwaite
Remove un-needed usages of ENV_GET_CPU() by converting the APIs to use CPUState pointers and retrieving the env_ptr as minimally needed. Scripted conversion for target-* change: for I in target-*/cpu.h; do sed -i \ 's/\(^int cpu_[^_]*_exec(\)[^ ][^ ]* \*s);$/\1CPUState *cpu);/' \ $I; done Signed-off-by: Peter Crosthwaite <crosthwaite.peter@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Andreas Färber <afaerber@suse.de>

2015-01-20exec.c: Drop TARGET_HAS_ICE define and checksPeter Maydell
The TARGET_HAS_ICE #define is intended to indicate whether a target-* guest CPU implementation supports the breakpoint handling. However, all our guest CPUs have that support (the only two which do not define TARGET_HAS_ICE are unicore32 and openrisc, and in both those cases the bp support is present and the lack of the #define is just a bug). So remove the #define entirely: all new guest CPU support should include breakpoint handling as part of the basic implementation. 2014-03-13cpu: Turn cpu_handle_mmu_fault() into a CPUClass hookAndreas Färber
Note that while such functions may exist both for *-user and softmmu, only *-user uses the CPUState hook, while softmmu reuses the prototype for calling it directly. Signed-off-by: Andreas Färber <afaerber@suse.de>
2014-03-13cpu: Turn cpu_has_work() into a CPUClass hookAndreas Färber
Default to false. Tidy variable naming and inline cast uses while at it. Tested-by: Jia Liu <proljc@gmail.com> (or32) Signed-off-by: Andreas Färber <afaerber@suse.de>
2013-07-23cpu: Turn cpu_get_phys_page_debug() into a CPUClass hookAndreas Färber
Change breakpoint_invalidate() argument to CPUState alongside. Since all targets now assign a softmmu-only field, we can drop helpers cpu_class_set_{do_unassigned_access,vmsd}() and device_class_set_vmsd(). Prepares for changing cpu_memory_rw_debug() argument to CPUState. Acked-by: Max Filippov <jcmvbkbc@gmail.com> (for xtensa) Signed-off-by: Andreas Färber <afaerber@suse.de>
2013-07-23cpu: Introduce CPUClass::synchronize_from_tb() for cpu_pc_from_tb()Andreas Färber
Where no extra implementation is needed, fall back to CPUClass::set_pc(). Acked-by: Michael Walle <michael@walle.cc> (for lm32) Signed-off-by: Andreas Färber <afaerber@suse.de>
2013-07-09cpu: Drop unnecessary dynamic casts in *_env_get_cpu()Andreas Färber
A transition from CPUFooState to FooCPU can be considered safe, just like FooCPU::env access in the opposite direction. The only benefit of the FOO_CPU() casts would be protection against bogus CPUFooState pointers, but then surrounding code would likely break, too. This should slightly improve interrupt etc. performance when going from CPUFooState to FooCPU. For any additional CPU() casts see 3556c233d931ad5ffa46a35cb25cfc057732ebb8 (qom: allow turning cast debugging off). 2013-06-28cpu: Turn cpu_dump_{state,statistics}() into CPUState hooksAndreas Färber
Make cpustats monitor command available unconditionally. Prepares for changing kvm_handle_internal_error() and kvm_cpu_exec() arguments to CPUState. Signed-off-by: Andreas Färber <afaerber@suse.de>
2013-04-12target-moxie: Fix VMState registrationPeter Maydell
